If you think that information in your child’s educational records is inaccurate or misleading, or violates the privacy of other rights of your child, you may request that the school district amend the information.
The district will decide whether to amend the information. If the district decides not to amend it, you have the right to a hearing. If, as a result of the hearing, the district decides to amend the information, it will do so and must inform you in writing. If, as a result of the hearing, the district decides not to amend the information, you have the right to place, in your child’s educational records, a statement commenting on the information or saying why you disagree with the district’s decision.
